Systems, Network, and Security Engineer (Client Assignment)

Administration and Optimization of a Critical IT Environment: servers, hypervisors, storage, networks, and backups. Cleanup and remediation of degraded infrastructures: full audit, security remediation, cluster restructuring, documentation, and implementation of Disaster Recovery (DR) / Business Continuity (BC) plans.

Main tasks :

• Advanced administration of Hyper-Converged Hyper-V and VMware vSAN clusters, including deployment, performance optimization, and monitoring;
• Deployment and management of ESET On-Premise security solution, definition of security policies, and centralized monitoring;
• Migration and standardization of backup tools (Veeam) and OS upgrades to supported versions;
• Cleanup and remediation of critical infrastructures: audit, security remediation, restructuring, documentation, implementation of DR/BC plans;
• Level 2/3 support for complex incidents and continuous optimization of performance, resilience, and IT security.

Example projects :

• Design and deployment of three multi-site VMware vSAN clusters;
• Administration and optimization of a high-availability Hyper-Converged Hyper-V cluster;
• Full migration of a Veeam backup tool and standardization of operating systems;
• Deployment of ESET On-Premise on workstations and servers with centralized monitoring and granular security policies.

Examples of activities :

• Full audit and restructuring of the client’s IT environment for compliance and performance;
• Implementation of DR/BC plans to ensure continuity of critical services;
• Centralized monitoring and reporting across all infrastructures;
• Optimization of performance and securing hypervisors, clusters, and critical services.

Systems, networks and security engineer in the technical department in the infrastructure service. Responsible for MCO and activity planning, supplier and service provider relations, partner prospecting. Management of several projects: migration of VMWare cluster between datacenters using the Zerto solution. Implementation of an asset management policy and solution using tools such as WAPT and GLPI.

Main tasks :

• Responsible for ensuring the consistency and sustainability of the information system (servers, databases, networks, backups);
• Contribute to the evolution of the company’s tools, methods and internal processes;
• Ensuring compliance of IT infrastructures according to ANSSI best practices;
• Assistance to customers (N3 support);

Example projects :

• Migration of a VMware cluster (PCC OVH) between two remote datacenters with the help of the Zerto tool;
• Upgrading a VMware vSphere 6.5 cluster to VMware vSphere 7.0;
• Implementation of an Azure AD Connect sync between the company’s Active Directory and Office 365;
• Deployment of a VPN solution to facilitate remote working for all employees;

Examples of activities :

• Upgrading domain controllers to a newer version of Windows Server ;
• Setting up a multi-site Active Directory infrastructure;
• Backup management with tools such as Veeam Backup, Borg Backup;
• Ensure inter-site links between the different geographical locations of the company via Stormshield firewalls;
• Implementation and management of an OpenVPN Cloud solution in HA in order to ensure remote working from different countries (France and Belgium);

Project Manager: Systems, Networks and Security - ValSoftware

Apprentice in the technical department in the infrastructure service, in charge of the MCO of the internal and customers information system. Project manager on different missions: backups, monitoring, budgets, audit.

Main tasks :

• Upgrading and maintaining servers in operational condition;
• Contribute to the evolution of tools and processes;

Apprentice in the technical department in the infrastructure service, in charge of the MCO of the internal and customer information system.

Main tasks :

• Ensure the consistency and sustainability of the information system (servers, databases, networks, backups, workstations);
• Assistance to customers: N2 & N3 support;

• Implementation of a backup solution with centralized management for all Microsoft Windows servers;

Systems, Networks and Security Technician at Spie for Airbus - SPIE ICS

Apprentice systems and networks technician at Spie ICS for Airbus Commercial Aircraft. My role consisted of working directly with users on the customer site to provide them with technical assistance.

Main tasks :

• Technical assistance (hardware and software) to users (L2);
• Remote or on-site intervention;
• Respect of intervention deadlines (SLA);

Example projects :

• Creation of an ISO (Live-CD) in accordance with the needs of the company and the technical constraints of the security of the Airbus information system, allowing most of the troubleshooting actions to be carried out on the user stations;
• Realization of a tool (based on batch) allowing to automate and accelerate some redundant administration actions;
